A daily ride through the cattle and cork country of rural Andalucia, over rolling hills, through wild flower meadows and sweet chestnut groves, visiting the white villages of the sierra de Aracena along the way.
Riding our own andaluz horses usually greys measuring bewteen 15.2 - 16.2. Well schooled and responsive mounts making riding effortless and fun. We ride in vaquero tack (similar to western) the tack of choice for the andaluz horseman.
We ride for between 2 - 3 hrs a day, the riding is not suitable for beginners. Riders should be competent and comfortable at all paces but there is no jumping. Those that rode as children and are now a bit "rusty" are usually fine !

There is a class a day usually in the late afternoon once you have returned from your ride, had some lunch in the garden and a chance to chill out for awhile by the pool, The yoga is taught in english by experienced teachers who are invited to teach for the week. In the morning before breakfast there is a short meditation session followed by pranayama. Then there is time for breakfast before we leave for the ride at about 10.30. The yoga practice helps both with the stiffness that you may experience after riding as well as improving both balance and equilibrium with your horse.

Finca el Moro has a reputation for excellent vegetarian food. The farm is 75 acres of olives, sweet chestnut trees, and cork and we farm sheep, black Iberican pigs and breed horses. We are as self-sufficient as possible for ourselves and our guests and produce our own olive oil and table olives. We have a large organic walled vegetable garden and the farm is dotted with fruit trees - lemons, figs, plums, quinces, cherries, peaches, apples and pears. We serve carefully prepared meals "al fresco" on the terraces around the main farmhouse.
The wealth of wild flowers at this time of year is stunning. It is warm enough to eat outside at night and to swim in one of the two pools on the farm. We are very happy to have non- riders if they would like to join us for the walks or simply relax on the farm enjoying what is always wonderfully relaxing week of Yoga.
