Finca el Moro Walking Holidays
“1000 yr old olive trees, the ground strewn beneath with wild gladioli and blue iris
and the air heavy with the aromatic smell of the warm south”
Brian Jackman, Sunday Times
Finca el Moro, Well fed Walking Holidays
The rolling hills of the Sierra de Aracena, 100 kms north west of Seville, provide perfect walking country. Tracks connect the pretty white villages and these ancient caminos offer gentle walking through a great variety of landscape. Our routes take you through lush secret valleys, past abandoned farms lost in tangles of aromatic cistus and rock roses and along high ridges with far distant views to hills crowned with Templar castles or remains of the C10th Moorish Caliphate.
Nick and Hermione have lived in the Sierras for twenty five years and their local knowledge of its special places and unique flora and fauna provides the basis to a series of outstanding walking holidays. Our aim is to provide low impact, sustainable walking holidays on an organically run farm for the independently minded traveller, which emphasises the wonderful food we produce ourselves and forage for locally.

My donkey, Violetta, and I have been guiding walks for over 20 years in the sierra. The walking is quite gentle and Violetta sets the pace! The walks range from 6 – 10 miles, and include a tapas lunch. We tend to leave about 10 a.m. and be back by 4.30p.m
