• Fit, forward-going and responsive andaluz crossbreds makes riding effortless and fun
  • The horses are our own, many bred and broken on the farm
  • The collected canter of the andaluz horse makes the long days in the saddle a pleasure
  • You should be competent at all paces and comfortable riding for between 4-6 hours a day. There is no jumping.
  • Fit but 'rusty' riders are fine! It is NOT recommended for beginners
       
         
 
 

Friday - You are collected from Seville and driven up into the Sierra and to the Finca el Moro; a journey of one and a half hours.

Saturday - A beautiful day, 5 hours on horseback through the hills heading South, on well trained andaluz horses bred and broken by your host Hermione Tudor. Passing through small villages with a chance for a stop at the village bar we carry a picnic lunch. Riding through the famous dehesa of Andalucia - open cork oak forest. We arrive late afternoon at the very comfortable Posada de Valdezufre a well restored small hotel with very comfortable rooms.

Sunday - A long ride, 6 hrs through mostly private ranch land, a chance to see a part of Andalucia rarely glimpsed by the visitor. Again we carry a picnic lunch and will arrive late afternoon at the - Finca Valbono - a small well run 3star hotel with a reputation for excellent food.

Monday - A final mornings ride, 3 hrs, back to the Finca el Moro through the chestnut groves arriving in time for a large late lunch and relax in your comfortable cottage to await your late afternoon taxi back to Seville.

 

 
           

 

The sierra is home to the most famous mountain hams of Spain - jamon serrano - sliced paper thin it melts in the mouth. Also excellent chorizo sausage. Pork fillet cooked over an open fire. Farm fresh vegetables and fruit, fresh chickpeas and spinach flavoured with cumin, lovely goat and sheeps cheese and forest honey. Wine is plentiful, good and cheap and Andalucia is the home of fine sherry.

Converted farm cottages with log fires at El Moro, and welcoming small posadas - coaching Inns. All rooms have private bathrooms and you will be well fed and comfortable after a long day in the saddle

                     
 

Price: €uro 750 per person, based on 2 people sharing a room.

This is an all inclusive price and includes collection and return to Seville, full board and accommodation. All riding and the services of a groom and guide. It does not include travel to Seville (see below) or insurance.

The Long Weekend Ride is available on selected dates between November and March - a great time of year to ride.

Flight Information:
From the UK there are daily flights to Seville flying with Clickair and Ryan Air.Any flight to Malaga and then the frequent bus or train service to Seville. Flights to Madrid or Barcelona from a variety of airports worldwide and then an internal flight to Seville or the high speed train from Madrid to Seville,(sevice every 2 hr). is another very easy way to get here.

Seville is also served daily from a variety of other European airports.
