This includes full board in comfortable en-suite accommodation, a tapas lunch in a village bar at lunchtime or a lovely picnic and an excellent 3 course dinner with organic farm fresh ingredients and  wine each evening. Guided walking each day, accompanied by Violetta our donkey, when appropriate. The rolling tree clad sierras of this corner of southern Spain (1000 to 2500ft) offer excellent walking with a great climate and a wonderful diversity of birds, wildflowers and orchids.

“Lunch was flutes of fine sherry, roasted artichokes and plates of lemony hake” John Gimlette, Sunday telegraph

My donkey, Violetta, and I have been guiding walks for over 20 years in the sierra. The walking is quite gentle and Violetta sets the pace! You can expect to walk for between 4 – 6 hrs daily, ( 6 – 10 miles) with a good tapas lunch on the way. We’ll get back home to your comfortable cottage on the farm by late afternoon in time for tea and a slice of home-made cake!

Highlights:

  • Small groups up to 10 people.
  • Walk with Violetta, our donkey and she will carry your bits and pieces.
  • Comfortable accommodation,en suite rooms, in pretty restored farm cottages.
  • Lunch in a different village tapas bar every day.
  • A memorable Dinner each night
  • Lovely daily well informed walks in the heart of rural Andalusia
  • even Spanish visitors say “the Sierra is rural Spain as it used to be……….”
